Chewlee Has A Good Week Going....
TALES FROM THE BRAT FARM
I forgot to mention yesterday that Chewlee had gotten another smiley face for the day from her teacher. She got one today, too, so that means she's gone four whole days without a frowney face or a squiggly face. She announced that her whole class had gotten smiley faces today. I guess that must be either a first or unusual for her to mention it. If she goes tomorrow and gets a smiley face again, she will finally get to pick a prize out of her teacher's treasure chest.
She also started to tell me about her sister and her little brother. I said, *Oh, your imaginary ones?* She said, in a very impatient voice (like I should have known better than to ask!), *Yes. Know what my sister does? She locks the doors in MY house and gets me into trouble! My little brother does it, too, but he does it EVERYWHERE he goes!* I laughed, thinking that she's locking doors and trying to blame her imaginary siblings and she got very upset with me. She said, (loudly), *Grandma, this is NOT funny! It's SERIOUS! I don't know what to do to stop them.*
I told her that being a good example is the best way. If SHE doesn't lock the doors, then they can see that and learn it's not nice to do. She shook her head and said, *I don't think that's gonna work, Grandma. They just don't listen.* Her voice was so sad and I just hugged her and told her that all she could do was try. After all, SHE didn't think she could keep quiet in school but look at how good she was now! It was just about then that her mother showed up, much earlier than expected since this IS normally a work night for her. However, she's been so sick all week that she took tonight off and I think her boss agreed that she needed to stay home and take care of herself. She dragged herself to school because she had two tests and a Power Point presentation to make. The day of the two tests was one of her worst days. I felt so bad for her but I was just home from the hospital myself. I was mad at the Beast, however, because he DIDN'T give her any of the matzo ball soup. He threw it out because HE was done with it and it was still good. Chewlee and I made it Sunday evening and he threw it out on Tuesday. I could choke him at times.
When I told Bratfink about Chewlee's imaginary little brother and sister, she IM'd me back with *Oh great, just what we need...more damn relatives!* I about pee'd in my pants, I laughed so hard. The dog came rushing into my computer room because my laugh startled him and he came to make sure I was okay.

I have to get on the phone tomorrow and do some doctor's appointment cancelling and changing. I'm going to make an appointment for the Beast with a new urologist. The group the nurse recommended to us a couple months back. I'll cancel the appointment with the one that is so brutal. I also have to call the hematologist and apologize to him but he should understand about my surgery coming before my iron content in my blood. My appointment was for Tuesday but I was in the hospital until Wednesday so...... Then I have to make sure the Beast's appointment for his eye surgery is put on the calendar and that I don't have any appointments for anything that are conflicting (he has one eye that bags badly and is causing his lashes to scrape his eye). That has to be corrected. I told him, *Oh great! Half an eyelift! That's going to make you look both old and weird.*

I love you all. Have a great Friday and an even better weekend!
