  • E.T. And The Beast Screws Up....Again!

    TALES FROM THE BRAT FARM

Tonight Chewlee got to see E.T. The Extraterrestrial for the first time.  I knew she would like it and she did.  She liked the fact that it was a little boy E.T. and he was friends with Elliott, the little boy.  When E. T. seems to have died, she was really sad and kept asking why and how he died.  When he suddenly was alive, she was so happy that everyone was wrong.  She had to get up and stand close to the TV when they were racing on their bikes to get E.T. to where he expected to meet up with the space ship and his parents.  She got sad when everyone was saying goodbye to E.T. and asked me why I was crying.  I told her because saying goodbye to someone that you wouldn't see again was always sad.  She gave me a hug and told me that E. T. would probably come back to visit Elliott when he could drive his own space ship (which made me laugh because of the leaps her thinking takes).  When the movie was over, she told me that she really liked the movie.

When her mother came to get her, she boiled down the movie to this:  *E.T. died!  And then he came alive!!!*  Too cute.

Today the Beast decided that he was taking back the iPad because he wasn't going to be able to do what he really wanted with it (Play his favorite game on Pogo while watching TV).  When he took it back, his salesperson told him that he was the second person that had told him the same thing.  How did the Beast screw up?  He forgot his cell phone # was tied in with his iPad.  It had to be for him to access the Internet since that was his Droid.  So he leaves and then discovers that his phone is *dead*.  Now he has to go back and get it re-activated and make sure that it isn't started over again like he JUST got it.  Trust me, nothing he screws up on is likely to end up simple to undo.  But we shall see.

It rained and thundered and lightninged almost all day long so I didn't even try to get online to play any games.  The Beast worked on getting the wireless working since our home phone is Magic Jack and that's required.  I just let him work on it.  Took him quite a while but he did eventually get it up and running but it kept going in and out, in and out.  I would have been frustrated as hell trying to play anything on Pogo.

Looks like more bad weather is coming in so I had better get this posted while I can.  Love you all and have a great week.
