    TALES FROM THE BRAT FARM

It's 6:45am and I have been up, showered and dressed and am having a fresh cup of coffee.  I didn't get much sleep last night.  Partly because of the Beast and his damned toenails.  The other because I was concerned about neither Bratfink nor I being able to get onto Xanga last night.  It kept telling me it was a *server download error*.  But, just to be certain, I ran a disk scan and repair after I ran my registry mechanic and my spybot programs.

My registry mechanic found a couple problems with shared dll's (and repaired them for me as I wanted) but my spybot found nothing (unlike Bratfink's).  She says she got on xanga after she ran that so who knows why WE couldn't get onto the site but other friends of hers could (in other parts of the country).

Anyway, the OTHER reason I couldn't sleep was the BEAST'S LONG TOENAILS!  I know I have mentioned this before but every single time his toenails grow long enough for him to start making noises on the wood floors when he walks, he seems to have some deep-seated need to gouge them into my legs when he's asleep.  I kid you not.  I can't even begin to tell you how many times I woke up with these cuts on my legs and I couldn't figure out how I got them.  One night I was not quite in a deep sleep when he started that *gouging* and I finally knew!  I have to actually turn over, bring my legs up so that he can't reach them and use my knees to keep him away from me.

Last night I woke him up and told him in no uncertain terms, *CUT THOSE DAMN NAILS OF YOURS!*  I hope he got the message.  If not, trust me!  I will remind him as many times as it takes to send him running to find the special clippers I bought him.  They have a built-in light AND a magnifying glass so he can actually SEE what he's doing.    He used to try to get me to cut those things for him because he *couldn't see them*.  Uhn uhn.....not me.  They were like trying to cut steel with cuticle scissors.  I sure as hell didn't have the strength in my hands to do it with the clippers we had here.  That's when I found the ones I bought for him.  They are larger, not as curved, have more space between the cutting edges as well as the two other features that drew me to them.  I told him.....leave them on your desk because you will NEVER get me to cut those even with pipe cutters!

I'm waiting for the Princess to bring Chewlee over for our regular full day of play.  I just wish SyFy had some decent programs on it today if Chewlee is in a mood for *monsters*.  However, she has shown a more curious side and wants to see other monsters beside *Zilla* lately so it may not turn out too bad.  If she's in the mood for cute, cuddly animals then OKAY!  It will be a day of Madagascar, Over the Hedge and who knows what other ones she might want to see?  We might even watch Finding Nemo.

It's time to get this posted and finish up my coffee before it gets cold.  It's 53 degrees outside right now and there's a bit of a chill in the house.  I'm going to turn on my heater in here for a few minutes so the room is comfortable when Chewlee gets here.

Love you all and I hope you have a fantastic day!    *Sigh*  It's good to be home.

    TALES FROM THE BRAT FARM

Hip, hip, hooray!!!!!!!!  Problems with my blog have been resolved and I can continue right here and not under Bratsis01.  Phew!  I was really worried there for a bit because I have a lot of readers that I couldn't let know what happened.  Plus, I have no idea how many of them read Bratfink's blog where there is a notice she posted.

For all the news for today, please go to www.xanga.com/bratsis01........just for today.  I shall return here to my site tomorrow.
