Wonderful! Wonderful!
TALES FROM THE BRAT FARMI had Chewlee today and she was running a slight fever but, overall, she was in a good mood. Johnnycakes told me she had been playing for a couple hours outside before he brought her over and he was sure she would be ready for her nap soon. Ha! After she ran around the house to say hi to Papa, the doggie and then ask for a popsicle, THEN she headed for my room. She finished her popsicle and decided she was ready for lunch and Spongebob. She ate about half a cut up hot dog, some potato chips and also sucked all the juice out of her orange slices. She drank a little milk (which I really wasn't eager to give her even if she didn't have much of a fever) and then decided she wanted juice. THAT she drank down like she was dehydrated.
I actually forgot (again!) to mention to the Princess about Chewlee complaining about her ears. Yeah, today she was complaining about BOTH ears and that's not a good thing. So, I just called and left her a message about it so she will watch and see if she does it to HER. She will be able to get her to the doctor's since she informed me that she is on vacation for the next week! Hurrah! No worrying about picking the baby up from school for a whole week.
I gather the Princess wants to go down to Florida next weekend and she told Johnnycakes that, if he can't get Friday off, she's going without him. That's one hell of a drive for her alone so I hope he gets it off.
The weather was absolutely stunning today. It was bright, sunny and warm out. It got up to 66 degrees, almost no wind and the baby was running around the yard with Baron playing with her beach ball. Then the unthinkable happened. Somehow or other, Baron got so excited that it almost looked like he had all four paws on the ball, he bit down and the ball went flatter than a pancake.
Chewlee was so upset and she looked at Papa and yelled, *Look at what doggie did!* I swear, she was blaming HIM because that is HIS dog (when he's done something bad)! ROFLMAO. Papa promised her he would get her another beach ball and she said she wanted a blue one. So he said he would get her a blue one. I think she thought he was going to run right out and buy her one because she told me she was staying with Papa and she wouldn't let go of his hand. I KNEW what was on her mind. I told him what she was thinking and then I told Chewlee that Papa wasn't going NOW... he would get it tomorrow. She did NOT like it but she finally accepted it and then sat in his lap until her mother walked in.
She really didn't want to go home but I told her that she and Mommy had to make dinner for daddy and she had all her Dora dvd's in her bedroom she could watch. She had napped for just an hour and a half so she will be ready for bed by the time Johnnycakes gets home to kiss her goodnight.
My IBS reared it's ugly head today and I have only myself to blame. I knew I shouldn't have eaten any of that Hebrew National hot dog. I love them but the spices in them HATE me since this stuff started with me last year. I took the med for it this evening but I should have taken it earlier. End result, an early bedtime for me. Hopefully, I will feel better tomorrow.
The Beast went and spent a couple hours this morning at the gun range. He was practicing with the rifle, as I said. He came home with his targets he used. One that showed as he adjusted his sighting, the other after some practice and with a properly adjusted sight. The first wasn't really all that bad but the second one was great. I think he might actually be able to hit something now.
At least the bullets were all clustered within about a 3" circle and that's not bad at all. Of course, like he said, it took him about $80 worth of ammunition to get to that point. Now he's going to have to keep practicing every once in a while to make sure he can keep it up.
Tomorrow's forecast is for 70 degrees and sunny (and no Chewlee here) so I will be in and out all day doing some things that need doing outside. I hope you get to enjoy your weekend. I may only get one day since Sunday there is a possibility of showers. But one good day will be just fine with me...for now. Love you all. Smile and be happy. You deserve it!
