Doing The Happy Dance!
I got the baby after all today. I wish the Princess was giving me her ACTUAL days off for the month (since SHE gets them all at once on a MONTHLY basis....HINT....HINT!). Then I wouldn't misunderstand her allusions to the *first two Saturdays* because I thought today (yesterday) was actually the first. Color me red here.
So I get the baby (sorry for the change in type but the damn Xanga editor keeps screwing up lately) this morning, as usual on a Saturday. I should have known since I did know it was the END of October because of Halloween. DUH!
She was so funny because the very first thing she wanted was to eat. She tells me *cereal......with MILK!* Like I would pour water or juice all over it. She not only ate it all (and I gave her quite a lot) but she asked for more!
I know! It surprised me, too. When she was done, she insisted I had to clean off the tray before she got out (which I did) and then she ran into my room and waited for me. When I came in, she patted the seat on my recliner so I sat down and she climbed in with me so we could watch her *Spongebob* on TV. I can't believe how she loved that show. It IS cute. Later on, we sat at the computer and I played *spooky slots* on Pogo. She loved the bats and the spiders on the reels and the pumpkin that showed up on occasion. I tried to get her to click the mouse and make the reels go 'round but she just LOVES to watch the arrow move all over the place. When I finally got the mouse back, then she wanted to type. It's adorable to watch her spread her fingers like she sees everyone do but she doesn't really get it yet. The one key she discovered she can push and it does something is the windows key. That side panel pops up and it just tickles her even though she looks at me with this guilty look and says, *Ut oh!*

At lunch, she just wanted to eat lunchmeat (bologna...the good stuff) and she wanted me to roll it up for her. Don't ask me where she got THAT from 'cause I sure haven't done it for her. I am assuming the Princess has done it for her once or twice. She also wanted cheese (which she got) and after she had eaten a few rolled up pieces of baloney and two pieces of cheese, we had some apple slices. She tried to put some of the caramel dip that I have on it but ended up using the strawberry yogurt instead. It holds on better.

She really fought me not to go lay down in the bedroom (it WAS a bit cold in there) and tried to tell me she wasn't tired. But after I turned off the lights in here, she put her head down and fell asleep in no time. I just covered her up and let her stay there.
After she woke up, I changed her out of the clothes she had on (come on, Princess....pedal pushers and a short sleeve top on a cold day? Sheesh) and put her in long pants and a long sleeve top I had here. Also some sock (she came with NO SOCKS and NO SHOES). *mad face inserted here* Although the Princess said that Chewlee wouldn't have any part of them. I STILL would have brought them with her, don't you think? No wonder some grandparents keep duplicates of everything at their house....it's JUST IN CASE.
She had fun clomping around the house in my sneakers, first and then she found my sandals. She loved going out of the room and shutting the door, then knocking and waiting for me to tell her to *come in*.
She saw me wrapping up my elbow with an ace bandage (fluid on the elbow again) and got so concerned because I had a *boo-boo*. She had to kiss it to make it feel better and ask me if it hurt. I had to assure her it didn't hurt me before she would finally stop bothering me over it.
Her potty training seems to be coming along nicely except for the fact that she still won't poop in the pot. But...she DOES tell you when she's pooped in the diaper she still has to have. She does UN-do it when she wants to pee on the potty, however. She wants to drop it in the wastebasket even though it's dry and poop-free.
Oh, and she has the toilet paper part down pat! She reminds me of the baby bear in the TV commercials, however. She wants a LOT of it. I keep having to rewind a lot of it back on the roll.I didn't get to work on the pajamas I have cut out and ready to sew together, for obvious reasons, so that has to be tomorrow's chore. I'm almost afraid to sew that material for fear I will have to yank it out from under the feeder plate again. *sigh* I'll get over it. It's nice material and I want to see it done and ready for when I have the baby next weekend.
Gotta go now. The Princess is probably going to be dropping off a bunch of tomatoes tomorrow because she's asked me to make her some of my salsa since she's been craving it. She wants a couple jars of it so I told her I need a couple dozen large ones minimum. I have a few more here that I can throw into the mix so I will be busy.
Love you all. Have a great day. Hope you had a great Halloween and lots of candy for any trick-or-treaters that came by. If you didn't get any...oh well! Make the sacrifice and eat it all yourself.

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! Tonight you turn back your clocks one hour. Don't forget or you will be WAAAAY too early for everything.
