I Find A Day Care Center For Chewlee!!!
Yes, I did. I found a day care center with an opening for a two-year-old and it's the one the Princess was really hoping for to begin with. It's close to her house, is open from 6am-6pm and the cost was really about half of what I expected it to be for full-time.
I know! I am amazed. I even explained to them that she was behind on her shots due to moving up here and the Princess having a tough time getting the Medicaid transferred. As long as the Princess tries to get them caught up, they are willing to take her. I am glad on one hand but sad on the other since it means I will see her less often. Of course, I know I will have to take her when she is sick and can't go to day care and I will get her on an occasional Saturday each month but I won't be seeing her as often. That's both good and bad. I will miss her terribly because, as much as she can frustrate the hell out of me, she also has the cutest smiles and such a loving disposition most of the time. The operative words are: MOST OF THE TIME!
She is, of course, a normal two-year-old. She has her stubborn streaks and she wants to find out just what is in all those cabinets and drawers. If she gets a pen, she wants to write on anything that's handy, including herself. She will touch anything and everything she can reach even if it means climbing up on some really scary stuff (pulled out drawers, shaky boxes, toys that have wheels on them that can move away easily...those kind of things). I saw her stack up a toy talking cookie jar on an empty diaper box and then put one of her thick books on top of THAT and she was going to climb up on it to look at what was on one of *Papa's* shelves....a definite *no-no* and she knew it. She darn near made it, too, except I came back into the room from getting her a cookie because she had been so good up to that point! LOLJohnnycakes took a picture of her playing in her pool this afternoon. She was starting to get a bit bored with just sitting in the pool, even with the spray from the rim so he moved her playhouse over and put the bottom of the slide into the pool or just next to it (not sure) and she LOVED that! After that, there was no stopping her. It was climb up, slide down into the pool and climb back up again, etc., etc. She did that for a couple hours. Poor Johnnycakes didn't realize that she had taken a nap earlier in the day (before he picked her up) and he kept expecting her to flake out and want to sleep. As it is, it's almost 10pm and she's fighting sleep here. She's very quiet but not quite ready to give in. As soon as my movie is over, into bed she goes, regardless.
I wanted to tell about a couple other things this afternoon but had to run some errands, including getting my hair cut for my trip. It was overdue for a trim and my hair stylist even commented on it (and she's the one who cut it so she knows). My hair seems to grow faster in the warm months so I really have to go by the way it looks and feels more so than by how long a time has passed.
The Beast is now thinking of waiting until I get back from Chicago to go down to Florida so he can use the car. The truck is a gas guzzler and he says it would be about half the cost if he takes the car. I know what he means and I told him that was up to him. I also offered to go ahead and paint my computer room while he was gone (notice how I am avoiding making that trip with him with subtle grace) so that he could feel free to do the floor when he came back or whenever. The real idea is that I don't want him to do anything to MY room without me being here.
It might be a futile effort but I have told him that I would paint the room if he had a problem with my wishes. He CLAIMS he will let me do that but I don't believe him. I said if he wants to paint anything, go ahead and paint the guest room. I want that to be a soft yellow or mint green color...something light but bright. Hopefully, he would do that since his trees are now almost a total loss this year. The plums...forget it. The apples look small and misshapen. The peaches have gone to hell except we did manage to salvage a few of the Alberta peaches. They are incredibly juicy and sweet but many of those are rotting, too. It's really sad. The only things looking good are the pears. The cherries were fine but the birds got to them before we did. As a result, we only got ONE and we shared that.

Tomorrow starts some serious getting ready for my being gone to Chicago. I have a lot I want to do and I also promised the Beast some stuffed peppers (my style, not the Boy's since that's what the Beast asked for) and it's not as labor intensive as the Boy's. Since I have a lot to get done around here, that works for me.
I did get to do my own GPS entries. It almost surprised me since the Beast usually *takes over* that stuff since he feels he has more experience doing it. I have to call and get one friend's address and phone number from another friend since I can't seem to find the phone book that had that information. I never got it transferred into my big one. I know, I know...it was one of those *roundtuits*.....LOL.
Okay, time to get this posted. The baby is in bed with her teddy bear, blankey and a fresh bottle. She's so tired now that I doubt it will be more than 5 minutes and she will be out like a light.

Have a wonderful day. I wish you great weather and lots of love and laughter in your life. Live every day to it's fullest so there are no regrets. Forgive everyone so that hate has no place in your mind or heart. I love you all.
