Oh Happy Days!
It was a truly great day today. The weather was great. The sun was shining. There was a fantastic breeze. Chewlee was in a great mood and had left her monster baby personality at home. We took a nap together and, because of that, I didn't get roped into helping the Beast with another project.

I had the baby outside playing with the dog in the morning, shortly after the Princess dropped her off. She ate some lunch and then we retired into my computer room to watch some TV, read a couple of her books (again) and then nap. She had to have her head on my chest to sleep which was so cute. I was afraid she was uncomfortable and moved her after she fell asleep. She woke me up after she woke up by putting her head on my shoulder and hugging me.
I made spaghetti for dinner and she threw herself into it as usual. You have never seen such a mess as she looks after eating spaghetti. She just loves it and even slurps up the noodles and then laughs at herself. The dog loves when she eats it because he gets any leftovers and gets to lick the tray clean before I wash it off. I filled the bath tub and dropped her into the water to clean her off. She loves her bath and is really good about letting me wash her hair and helps clean up her spaghetti coated face and chest. I let her play in it for a while to help cool her down and then got her into her jammies for when her mother, the Princess, came to pick her up.
She was more than ready to go home to her own bed. She loves to go bye-bye even if it's just back and forth from here to her home or vice versa. It doesn't take much to make her happy. She ran up to me for a kiss, then blew kisses as she backed out the door.
I had her outside with me around 6pm when I watered my garden. Did I tell you that she loves walking up and down the stairs from the deck to the yard? Well, she loves to do that without holding onto anything and it makes the Beast nervous to watch her. I told him that she's actually a lot more careful than he thinks but, if it made him nervous, don't watch her.
She and the dog fight over the dog's balls that are outside. She will tug the ball out of his mouth (and he is actually letting her do it because he's much stronger than even the Beast is) and then throw it. The problem is she will then run to get it herself. The dog has stopped trying to get it back because she can crawl under the table and he can't so she always gets to it first.
Today she gave the ball to the Beast and he said he would show her how to throw it for the *doggie* to go chase. So he gets up, tells Baron *here, boy, go get it!* and throws it out into the yard, whereupon the dog goes dashing down the stairs after it and the Beast knocks Chewlee down the stairs!
I know! Luckily, she went down kind of on her back, hit the third stair from the top and then slid onto the grass. She was shocked but unhurt. I couldn't resist telling the Beast that, after all his worrying about her falling down the stairs, HE was the one that knocked her down them. I went down to help our shocked Chewlee up and she took my hand as we climbed back onto the deck. She wasn't even upset but we both knew how lucky it was that she fell just the way she had. She never hit her head and I check her all over and there wasn't even a scraped area. Whew! After the Princess left with Chewlee, I went into the computer room so I could finally sit down and chat with my sister, Bratfink, and play a couple games of Monoslots (as Bratfink has taken to calling it). Our friend that we had the disagreement with never came into the game room to join us. The others that play with us knew about the reason and agreed with our point of view. The person that all this started over (after a private chat with him so he knew why our friend was not going to be joining us), was horrified that we would end a friendship over him. But, we told him that friends like that were not acceptable to the Brat Fambly. There are always new friends to be made.
I ranked out (reached the top rank) on Monoslots on Saturday night but I do so like the game. Ranking isn't everything. It's really the chatting with friends and consoling each other when you get sent to jail or don't seem to be getting the dice that really counts. We just want to relax and have fun and that's what we did today, too. It was a nice end to an almost perfect day. All I need to do now before heading to bed is put the spaghetti away now that it's cooler and set up the coffee for morning.
The Princess said I may not have to watch Chewlee tomorrow but she wasn't sure if Johnnycakes was told he had to work or not. Tuesday and Wednesday I only have her for a couple hours while the Princess takes finals for a couple of her classes. I thought they ended last week and it was done but, although the CLASSES ended, they still have the final exams. She doesn't have to work on Tuesday or Wednesday so the latest I might have to watch her will be noon. That's a snap.
Love you all. Have a wonderful day. Laugh as often as possible because it's healing for body and spirit. We all can use that during these dark days. Watch your health, too. Without it, life isn't any fun at all.
